If you buy online, be aware that Mavic uses dual sizing, International and American. An American medium is also tagged "International" large. That said I have a 32 inch waist and my International Large/American medium shorts fit like an XL in Castelli or Capo. I would size down.
edit: I guess PI fit would be the proper comparison.
I really like Mavic stuff. Fits more like race fit and you do have to size up one size. Fit and finish are great. Definitely recommend.

I agree with beeatnik
I just got some 3/4 bibs. There are two sizes as mentioned previously. One is world and the other is asian sizing. I usually wear a large in campagnolo or large/xl in castelli but in the mavic bibs I am a medium world size (I have a 32"-33" waist).
Good luck!

They look great and are made of great materials. I tried on some Mavic kit, and it was not a good look for me. If your built like the Schlecks, I say go for it. I'm built more like Andre Griepel. I tried on XXL bib shorts and they were too stretched out, too sheer.

Agree with the folks on fit. I'm usually a Rapha medium, but had to size up to a large for Mavic.

But a Mavic large is also a medium. An International or a World medium.

Sold them for a year. The sizing was very inconsistent, not only w/i a type of clothing(bib knickers, bibs, for instance) but between clothing types. Their vest, in size XL, was sized closer to a medium. Their jacket was spot on, for instance.
XL bib knickers were sized like VERY long mediums. Not gonna sell 'em next year.
