So the last hour of my 3 1/2 ride yesterday was in the rain. I got soaked from my shorts down to my socks. My rain jacket kept my upper body dry except that I was a little moist from my sweat. My feet were pruny after I took off my socks. Are there any waterproof bibs or shorts that will wick out the sweat? Any effective covers to keep the feet dry?

Check out the Castelli nanoflex stuff. I have their shoe covers and their leg warmers and they're pretty awesome.

Edit: Can't find a shoe covers video, but....they look like this, and are good in the rain.

I've been looking for the same.

I haven't narrowed anything down yet but for colder temps I've been interested in Endura Stealth Extreme Bib Tights. Haven't pulled the trigger yet.

It looks like the waterproofness comes from Entrant, and they make a big deal in the description about seam taping so I'm guessing they're serious about the waterproof claim as opposed to a water-resistant garment.

I had a pair of PI tights back in the day with Entrant front panels and I seem to remember it worked just fine.

Take a look at
Assos SturmNuss (http://www.assos.com/en/19/singleProduct.aspx?cat=6,19,24&prod=374)

Sugoi also has a bib tight

This Assos bottom is new this year I am sort of curious about that and see how it works. It goes over your bib.

For extended rain in the cold the only way to go for gloves and booties are the full neoprene ones.

Good fenders will go a long way towards keeping your lower body dryer...

+1 on fenders and the castelli shoe covers.

Those shoe covers are a steal @ $50ish a pair, mine even have some holes from abuse and few commuting crashes, but they still work well enough. PI makes a similar style for same price I believe. And if you fancy Rapha, theirs are $10 more, much more subtle in looks, and not as waterproof . . .

The race blade clip on fenders are brilliant. Very minimal weight and can be thrown on quickly if there is doubt about good weather before riding. would not fit on my Colnago Master X Light though thanks to the straight blade fork

Thanks for all the replies. They are a bit spendy but I'm gonna bite the bullet and get a set to keep me dry. I just don't want my wife to say "What? How many bibs/shorts/shoe covers/handlebars/wheels/helmets.....etc. do you need? :)
