Bummer.

I remember him doing an essay on the superbowl, was hysterical.

"I'm the one with the hat". Priceless.

A true American. A very brave man. I'll miss him.

I once had breakfast with him at a Colgate President's club event. His impromptu wit was amazing. He was so quick, so well spoken, and so funny...and yes, he was cranky. It was a fantastic experience.

On a planet with 7 billion people, his wit was rare. I'm glad he had such a long run, but he will be missed.

Best if not only reason to watch 60 Minutes.

just amazing how close in proximity was his quitting work and meeting the maker.

Did you ever notice that he never, ever said, "Did you ever notice"?

He wanted to work until he died, well that just about happened as his last show was less then 4 weeks ago. Pretty witty and cranky guy for sure. RIP Andy, and all the best to your family and friends.

Agreed.

I'd skip every news hour/half hour and listen to him instead any day.

Best if not only reason to watch 60 Minutes.
