6 Jours de Grenoble

After missing it last year, a friend from work got me free tickets to the "6 Jours de Grenoble" track cycling event. I don't know anything about track cycling, so I was totally bewildered for most of the races, but loved it anyway. It was very dark in there, so I was really hitting the limits of the cameras sensitivity, but you can at least get a flavor of the event!

Things that were interesting to me: The place was PACKED! As in every seat in the house was taken at 11pm. My Aussie buddie and I left for five minutes to get some beers from the concession stand, and when we got back our seats (in the extreme nosebleed section) had already been usurped. Also, there are various shows on a stage in the middle of the ring in between the cycling. There was a gymnast doing absolutely amazing flags and levers on a pole, three people balancing on a small metal rod, and of course the Paris Folies
