I'm currently running Kool Stop dual compound and standard Campy pads that came with my chorus brakes... both are good...

anyone have any opinions on other pads for dry conditions on aluminum rims? need to pick up a set or two and figured i'd see if there is anything else out there that is nice...

thanks

Kool Stop salmon on everything.
Ditto. Work great wet or dry, last long time.

I think swiss stop are the best, however campy pads are excellent as well in my experience, especially in dry conditions

I use Campy. I like them and they refuse to wear out. I have used all flavors of Kool Stops with good success, too.

whatever i have/is cheap.

no carbon rims here, i really like the stock pads that come with tektro calipers. if i'm buying i'll usually just buy salmon inserts because they're relatively cheap and ubiquitous.
i would like to try out swissstop pads, the new mathauser yokozuna pads, the new dura2 koolstop pads, the triple compound koolstop pads, etc

I like whatever Shimano loads their calipers with. I think they're pretty uniform through most of the line?

Amen ...

I had OEM Campy .... :crap:
getting rid of them was brilliant.

Koolstop is the way to go.

Road, cross, or TT bike, it's all Swiss Stop
