This isn't a political post or statement. Just pure comedy. Google "Herman Cain's smoking ad". Yes, it's real even though it seems like it is a joke. The great part starts at 38 seconds and the next 20 seconds are pure gold! :D

That's just bizarre. I mean it was calculated right? For what reason? What message are they trying to promote?

Maybe by defining himself as the goofiest candidate he can separate himself from the cowboy, the slippery and the dumb.

I just checked with my man at the Perry campaign, he says lung cancer is just a lefty green theory that is killing American jobs.

Smoke'em if you got'em.

racing at warp speed to the bottom and with so much velocity we're constantly re-setting a new low faster than my house. oy. is it just me or did that cigarette look hand-rolled or more like a joint? subliminally suggesting supplementing 999 with marijuana taxes? if so, i'll bump tokes with that brother any time.

What they don't tell you is that the Campaign's Chief of Staff who is smoking in the video is only 26 years old.

Strikes me as somewhat of a desperate move to court the white, Southern vote.

Obama has already gained a good share of that demographic by embracing the McRib as his favorite McSandwich. I am not kidding.

Defiance. Maybe a little inclusion too. There are millions of Americans who smoke. Why should the rest of us treat them like they have the plague. If it was that bad why did so many Americans vote for Obama when he was a smoker?

It's not about smoking really. It's still a free country last time I checked. But it's a bizarre thing in a political ad and it's not like he's running on a platform of smoker's rights or individual liberty to smoke. It's an economic platform.

Not quite sure what the message of the ad is, but the smoking part is strange. Seems like something from the '70s, not really something from 2011.

Cain's position on auditing our nations central control private corporation (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uiAkeFJXwUk)

Does Mr. Obama smoke? (http://theweek.com/article/index/200270/why-is-obama-still-smoking)

Smoking kills. I lost 2 dear cousins from it.

Do I have the right to force people not to smoke?
Do I have the right to force cyclists to wear helmets?

seeing some jackass blowing smoke at the camera only motivates me to question the judgement of a candidate who approved such a stupid ad.

that said, I really want Cain to get the nomination.

Battle of the Brothers will be fun to watch...

Primary: To get his name to be a household word.

Secondary: To Polarize

How can you really be opposed simply because someone was smoking.

I'm not bothered by the fact that someone is smoking as much as the guy doing it seems like a J-hole and the whole ad reeks of insanity just as much as cigarette smoke.

I'm not, but I can't imagine it would play well with the party of "moral superiority".
