Credit card case designed for road cycling -- $65 (http://www.rapha.cc/credit-card-case)

With pink lining and debossed with some Rapha wisdom!

But I'm not sure how this is designed specifically for cycling. It doesn't say that it's water-resistant.

i'm sure like all Rapha stuff, its very well made.

also, i'm not sure what you're getting at, but the price of this is a real bargain compared to what you could spend on designer leather goods.

And there's nothing about the design that makes it cycling-specific.

One of many Rapha items that will eventually hit their clearance sale at 50+% off and then become a nice option for those with ailing wallets.

It would go perfect with the Ralpha Tweed Soft Shell, Ralpha Trousers and Ralpha cotton Scarf. You would be the cewlest kid at the coffee shop.

i'm sorry, but i just dont get the Rapha hate from some people. every time they come out with a new product someone makes a snarky post about it.

From my experience, everything they put their brand on is excellent, OK, they make some "lifestyle" products that they are marketing. We get it, you think a 65 dollar wallet from a company that primarily makes cycling stuff is frivolous and stupid. in this case you shouldnt buy it.

the irony, by the way, of you starting a post in a cycling forum to tell us that a credit card case is not cycling specific should not be understated.

PS - You can see it in use in the rapha video here: http://velonews.competitor.com/2011/08/news/video-velonews-and-rapha-continental-ride-stage-2-of-the-usapcc-2_187425

every time they come out with a new product someone makes a snarky post about it.Perhaps it's that a remarkable percentage of the products they come out with are snark-worthy. Assos makes stupid-pricy kit, too, but they don't engender the same snark because at least they don't whack you over the head with the "epic" schtick to sell you shaving cream.

I should add - I think the Rapha caps, gloves, and bib shorts are keen, so I'm no Raphaphobe. I just tire of the forced 100% "Rain on the Oude Kwaremont" aesthetic.

Any leather wallet would stain my jersey pocket on the first humid ride, and eventually disintegrate.

OK, OK, i'll admit it, i've got the Rapha "essentials case", which i intended to use for my blackberry and cash in my jersey pocket.

Terrible!

Moisture goes right through it, sweat and dampness get right into the case, NOT protecting my phone at all. that case is more at home in a woman's purse than a jersey pocket.

there, i said it, ha.

and most of their kit just plain works and lasts a long time. So that cost amortizes out, at least for me (and it helps to be disciplined enough to buy only sale items.

And the winner is?

OK, so how do I block all these Rapha threads?

Just seeing the R word in the Subject line reduces my Quality of Life a teeny bit.

Those boobs however, (sorry, I meant bibs) compensate many times over.

It probably works just as well in a manbag too. No need to be sexist with your Raphahate. You can get a lot of soulrun for the price of rapha. Soulrun stuff rocks, too.

I normally don't condone violence but that guy needs a "beat down". Or maybe his mom just needs a talking to for dressing him that way.

I tried one of those jackets on at the SF RCC. Fit was good but that's the last thing on my mind for cycling spend. The IF he is riding however is pretty cool

I'd probably buy the Rapha case before I bought this http://compare.ebay.com/like/130585357079?var=lv&ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar&_lwgsi=y but don't hold your breath for either one.

I think my sister spent about that much on a Tumi wallet she got for me 8 years ago. And it's still goin' strong!

Well made leather goods last a lifetime.

I'd say that they're realizing the weight of their brand and maybe fulfilling their potential. If they want to start branching out into casual shoes and neckties, I'm fine by that as long as it doesn't compromise the jerseys and bibs.
