Okay, I am calling on all my lady friends here at the forum to help me shop for the "ideal" wallet with cardcases for my wife.

"Ideal" characteristics include:
functional
durable
aesthetically pleasing
good price
.........
Of course, of course, those are admittedly from a man's point of view. You ladies might have a different set of priorities, do share the insight with me. :D

And lastly,....don't worry, the wife did say, "Show it to me before you buy." We are covered, no danger here...

Thanks for your help.

Mine arrived just a few days ago, and I love it. But better for a guy.

Weisan, your cousin once sold purses for a living and she recommends these.

Can't go wrong with Coach. My wife also loves Mandarin Duck. We got her some stuff Mandarin Duck when in Majorca. Maybe they are available in the U.S. or on the web.

Coach, Coach and Coach. Never the most fashionable, but always in style.

Weisan, I have Coach everything and love it. I bought my handbags years ago when the styles were still very traditional and they used the heavy weight leathers. I have a black wallet that's about 6" X 3" and zips around. Holds everything but a checkbook, that's separate. The stuff isn't cheap, but it's worth the money because you'll never have to replace it again. If you have a Coach outlet store near you, check there, they get discontinued stuff, but again, so what?

Yes, we do have a discount mall in San Marcos which is about 45 minutes away from Austin...the parking there is atrocious, thus would prefer to get something online and ship to the door if possible.

I like wallets and purses made by Sak. They are very washable, durable and fashionable. I've had my Sak purses (3) /wallets for 5 years and they still look very nice. Sak's website is also offering free shipping. Here's a link to their wallet section.

Am I the 10th guy to recommend Coach too? Great value, wonderful service. You can even send in old items for free repair.

Coach is good stuff....not sure if they are still owned by Owens Corning or not???? not that it matters....

This past spring I outfitted my wife with 2 purses, a wallet and checkbook at the Coach store...fortunately, it was the Coach Outlet store, and they were having a sale....we only spent about $1K

She was with me....she picked out what she wanted....I just paid the bill and carried the bags....she was very happy!

Now if you want to get into the "luxe" market.....

Look on eBay - but make sure the Mfr tags are attached so you aren't getting a knock off. I got a really great deal a few years ago on a large navy bag, and it's authentic.
