I came across this article (http://gizmodo.com/5848023/this-is-the-best-electric-bicycle-in-oregon) and this article (http://www.ideo.com/work/faraday-bike) today and wanted to share.

There are a lot a neat details, good job.

Needs lights, standover clearance and real fenders

That's funny, I was thinking the same thing. With all that on board electricity (is that a front dynohub?) why not put lights on it. The fenders could be better too.

IDEO designed the trek lime bikes and they seem to be more utilitarian than this to me.

Design Fail.

I would say that would depend on where you live and what you would plan to do with it.

I'm more than sure someone in the NW would want better fenders, while someone in Az or southern Ca those fenders would be fine.

Same way with the amount of cargo, or where you need to store it when not in use, would also play a part in what would be the ultimate.

i guess those who are afraid of the dark and never go out at night dont need lights and it would be great for a real tall fellow so it would be great for a tall guy who lives in an apartment in the desert who needs a utillity bike but doesnt go out at night.

This one as well.

More than a few well respected bike people seem to like it.
