Last week, after suffering for too long with a Campy 11 speed Super-Link (AKA The Clicker), I called Peter at Vecchio's and he was kind enough to supply me with 75% of his existing inventory of IRD 11 speed links. He got them out that day and I am now riding a click-free Speedvagen. The sound of silence has never been so sweet!
He was even kind enough not to call me a cheapskate when I told him a Vecchio's merino jersey was going to have to be a Christmas present for me.
Good man, good service.

I had a click on my IRD Campy 10-spd link initially. I decided to try and live with it for a while. After a short period, it stopped and never came back, and all was good.
I have since switched to the Connex link on all my 10-spd Campy systems. They seem to work fine right outta the box.
Now if I could just find a permanent remedy for this d@mn Look Keo pedal squeak, I'd be a happy fellah.

+1 to that. It's definitely the 'go to' shop here in town when you have one of those tough problems and everyone is sort of scratching their heads.

He is a wonderful individual and I will see him in the winter when I go see my sister in Colorado Springs.
He also runs a A+++ store.

Has turned this place into a little bit of a 'virtual local bike shoppe'.
And that is a very good thing.

Absolutely right.
He found me one of those stupidly hard to find alpha q inserts for a 1" carbon steerer tube.
I couldn't believe it!
Thanks Peter!

Has the answer to any, and I mean any, tech/compatibility question. An asset to the forum is the understatement of the year.

Many thanks for the kind words, happy to help.
I have more 11s links now, BTW-

EvanOT,
The click may be caused by a master link in the chain making noise. I had a Super-Link that would make noise as it rolled off the cassette...drove me crazy. That click occurred every 2-2.5 crank revs. If you have something that clicks every rev at the same place in your pedal stroke, it is something else. Can be anything from your saddle to front derailleur clamp. Lots of threads of you search for 'click'.
Cheers

I've posted on this before, but Peter has posted out little nicks and nacks here to Australia, including 11s links, that I'm sure make insignificant contributions to his balance sheet. I just wish he would "up shop" and move to Melbourne.
Thanks Peter.

He's a solid dude - don't try to buy Ksyriums at his shop, however. :) :hello:
