Feedback Pro Elite, worth the few extra bucks.

Campmor has them on sale now.

... slung over rafters (or even a tree limb) then hook the nose of a saddle through the loops of the tube. I have an Ultimate stand, however I use the above approach when doing simple cleaning jobs or similar tasks.

Cheers.

I'm with you spinner. We have a clothesline / pole. I have a length of rope I loop around the saddle and wrap over the pole. Great for serious drivetrain cleaning and a hose spray down on the rare occasion. Otherwise it's inside with a feedback pro.

My favorite is the park PRS20. No clamping the seatpost or any tubes.

+1 on Feedback

I actually have the Ultimate (former name of Feedback) version of the Pro-Ultralight (http://feedbacksports.com/shop/Pro-Ultralight-Work-Stand-P2C1.aspx). Lighter and folds up a little more compactly, should you need the portability.

I like the Park Tools repair stands where you take off the front wheel and put it in the quick release on the stands (PRS 20 and PRS 21 (http://www.parktool.com/product/super-lite-team-race-stand-prs-21)).

They're stable, avoid marring the finish on the bike/top tube or seatpost, and are at a comfortable height to work on the drivetrain. Also, you can move around the bike a full 360 to work on it.

+1 on Feedback. I too have the Ultimate one. I bought the tool tray which is nice and also the truing stand that works in better than what I was using. This thread reminded me to order new pads for the jaws.

I have a Wrench Force and it's great.

I was working at PBS and bought one of their Ultimate/Feedback knockoffs.

Works fine. Only thing it doesn't do is the clamp doesn't slide open like the Ultimate/Feedback's does.

Before that, I'd been using a display stand on a tv cart. That worked great for bikes with small downtubes. Not so good with anything OS.
