World champs Wednesday morning -- the 46.4k course (http://www.copenhagen2011.dk/index.php?p=menu/side.php&menu=20&side=64) appears to be very flat.

Any predictions of who will take it? Cancellara, Martin, or Millar? Or perhaps a favorite dark horse?

Martin caught David Millar and Ignatiev. Cancellara will have to come up with something special in the second half to win this.

Big surprise, Wiggins after losing mass to climb the Vuelta, Big disappointment Phinney after decent performance at Vuelta. Martin has already established himself this year no surprise.

I still think Martin is going to turn into a good if not great all-arounder, GC-type guy. Maybe next year with QS.

Agreed- he seems to have the motor and the head to win.

Expect to see a lot of Martin on the top step in the future, especially since Fabian seems to need get back the mental edge.

I thought this little nugget from Velonews was interesting.

The U.S. team was hoping that one of the young pair could sneak into the top-10 among nation finishers to assure the Americans two starting positions in next year’s Olympic Games time trial competition.

The top-10 nations in Wednesday’s time trial will be awarded a second starting slot for London.

Phinney’s 15th just fell short of finishing within the top-10 countries, however. Svein Tuft of Canada, 13th at 18 seconds faster than Phinney, captured the 10th-best nation-ranked result on the day.

Bummer to see Levi or Vande Velde couldn't do it along with Phinney to better the odds of a 2nd starting slot for the Olympics TT.

Excel Sports "tweeted" that Tony Martin won on clinchers. I recall he used a front clincher for the final TT in the Tour. Interesting - I wonder if we'll see more of that on flat courses.

Don't get me wrong, I think Cancellara is an epic rider, but I am glad to see Martin get it done today in the TT.

Spartacus is a 0 on the UCI doping suspicion list. Martin is a 7.

I was rooting for Spartacus but his 4 WC TT wins is incredible. I expect this loss will only motivate him more next year. With that being said Martin deserved the win today. Cancellara was gracious in defeat.

Why do you say this? On a scale of 0-7, I'd put them both at around 10 (or fabian needs bjarne more than he thought).
