I took my first spill in 100 years or so this past weekend. Fairly minor compared to these (#%!& bee started to sting my leg and I tried to swat it away -- bee stung me and I ended up sliding down the shoulder of the road :crap: ). I'm sore ~ good bit of road rash on my arm and hip and my back is miserably stiff.

Was crashing that much of a non-event when we were young?
As a high school teacher, I've had kids crash while biking, skateboarding, long-boarding, snowboarding, sledding and who knows what else. They seem virtually unaffected and uninterrupted!
