I have a Regal saddle with rails like this: http://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=93609&highlight=regal+rails

Is it possible remove the magnesium rails and replace them with standard steels rails? I have only one of these saddles, so I cannot compare side by side!

If it is possible to exchange, then does anyone have a trashed saddle with standard steel or ti rails still intact? I am going to the trou le be ause it is a rare aged brown leather that I love, but I want to use it with an old Moots post that will not accept these crazy rails...

Thanks alot,

D

Thanks alot for any feedback

It's virtually impossible to put a rail into a saddle like the Regal without a special tool. My recollection is that some manufacturers will replace a saddle rail for a small fee should it be broken, or knocked out of the fixing hole after a hard impact, but you cannot/should not do it yourself.
