swapping to a compact crank and have the option of BB30 or converting to GXP to use a crank I already have....what are your thoughts?

I believe with BB30 the frame is different and uses a larger shell... GXP is used on a regular frame. You must use the cranks that fit your frame.

I think he's asking if he should convert his BB30 frame to use GXP.

If you have it, why not use it? Unless you really like your current crankset. I used the Wheels Mfg adapters before I settled on a crankset I liked. They are great adapters, and reversible. DON'T press in that piece of crap FSA adapter that's non-removable.

Use Wheels BB30 'kit' and then the BB30 crank, better quality bearings or........

Get a Campagnolo crank, use the BB30/42 cups..best solution and crank.
