For those of you that ride on and off road, do ride the same crank length on both? Just wondering.

I ride 172.5 on my road bikes and 175mm on my mountain bikes. Hard to feel any real difference.

For years I used 175s on road bikes and 180s on mountain bikes. This year I've been transitioning my road bikes to 180s also.

175's on everything, but then again, not sure I could tell the difference if Mr. Squirrel snuck in and switched one of them to 172.5's

I ride 172.5 on the road / cross bike, and 175 mtn bike. Can't tell a difference. I do notice a wider Q factor though.

180s on both. Used to be 175s on the road years ago, but I switched and never looked back.

Thanks for the replies folks.

I was just curious. I figured I would stick to 180's but wanted to check and see if there were any theories one way or the other. Now I just need to find some used but not to abused 180's for a SS mtb.

Same on Road, MTB, and Cross 175. Have tried longer on both Road and MTB and always come back to 175.
