I gotta hang out here more. There are lots of guys who ride big frames. I might be able to snare a few cast offs.

I normally search for steel and all framesets and bikes > 60cm. 64x60 is optimal for me. I'm still waiting for that one to make it's way into the stable.

I tend to be very specific in my search terms i.e. Brand or model names. Numbers such as size may or may not produce good results. Also, try searching in more regions than just the local one your in, sometimes the deals & selection are much better in other areas nearby.

My current search terms:

Campagnolo hub
Campagnolo Record hub
Campy record hub
Campy hub

All of the above with "wheel" and "wheelset" substituted for hub. I'm always surprised how many campy hubs will show up in one category but not in another.

And I'm never surprised that almost everything is "NOS Record!"

Topline Cranks
Ambrosio rim (just "Ambrosio" if I want to oggle some Italian bikini babe while looking for rims).
Torelli rim

I'm basically trying to build a new set of silver campy record tubulars, 36h. but I'm more in the looky-loo stage at this point.

I used to like "frameset" a lot but now it generates a lot of cheap, mass-produced, framed "art"

A little OT, but still related to searching ...
If I want to see what's out there in CL land for let's say SuperSixes, I enter this in in google:
site:craigslist.org cannondale supersix

This will search all of craigslist.org for the terms "cannondale supersix"

This technique may help if you're looking for something very specific.

enjoy.

Mine are typically vamoots, rb-1, Waterford, 61cm, 62cm & 63cm. It changes month to month, these are the constants.

If I told you, then it wouldn't be a secret advantage any more....

(Some are: 531, Columbus, insert-your-favorite-bike-brand-name-here, NOS, etc., but don't tell anyone!).

You want to cast a wide net first, then narrow it efficiently after that, imo. There must be literally a million strategies to follow when searching on eBay.
(and I wish I weren't so darn hooked on eBag, but that's another story).
