Vote now for the biggest disappointment of the Tour thus far.

My vote goes to Roberto Heras.

I gotta wonder when they stop calling Jan the Kaiser and start calling him the Hindenburg...

No Tyler and no Cunego gets my vote though.

I was really disappointed to see Vino crack yesterday as he was poised to give the race some real excitement. The near complete implosion of Euskaltel is another. I still can't figure why they didn't juggle their program to make room for Aitor Gonzales who was on great form. Yet another is the mediocre showing from Ullrich. On the brighter side Moreau, Valverde, Leipheimer and Mancebo are having great rides....

the strength of Lances team.
Having an entire team that is stronger than 90% of the other riders pretty much kills the race.

Mayo, and the rest of the skinny orange guys...they're just taking up space on the road.

I suppose they might be saving themselves for the Pyrenees, where their sponsor gets the most bang for their buck, but sheesh! Why show up if you're not going to race?

. . . I don't think I've heard his name once. I wasn't expecting him to win or anything, but after the obvious grit he showed last year, this year is a disappointment so far.

He got the Climbers jersey the first day since there a small "bump" that had points. For the record, there were 4 guys in the break and he did a great sprint to win the points. Beyond that, it's been uneventful. Too bad, I really enjoyed his guts last year.

You haven't seen the chick on the right side of the screen when they hand out the white jersey? Muy Caliente!!

The T-Mobile jersey, taking a great color and making it BORING!

what someone said in the thread about whether Lance gave the win to Valverde: "We're all weiners here!"

Agreed.

Or the lack of Lincoln Navigator commercials. Not. I can still hear that stupid jingle in my head.

Somehow the Green Jersey competition hasn't been as exciting as in previous years. Perhaps it's the coverage. Robbie McKewen has been disappointing so far. On the other hand, the climbing competition, sans Vierinque, is actually turning out to be quite exciting.

He was trying for GC, but he's probably closer to the lanterne rouge. No translation from the Giro to the Tour.

If it lasts to Paris, it'll be a bigger upset than Lance losing...

I second that. Paul's DISCO infomercial babble must stop. Time for him to go back to tending to his South African gold mine - which from what I've read Lance owns a piece? Doesn't Lance own a piece of everybody by now?

The biggest disappointment in the TDF coverage this year are all the stupid commercials and constant Tour interruptions regarding the Survivor show.
