they work. not quite as nice as open corsas or veloflex corsas, good tire though.

I've got a set on my race rig, they did my well this season.
I swore off GP4000's after one too many stuipd sidewall punctures, but then again I was using them for all my riding, whereas these Ultremo's have only been ridden for races and 1 or 2 days riding on regular roads/week to make sure the bike is in good shape.

I had the Ultremo DD and the sidewalk started peeling/delaminating near the bead of the tire. I emailed Schwalbe and they told me to send them in for inspection but I havent got around to it yet. Ride quality was ok nothing spectacular and durability was fine. I think I had about 300-400 miles on mine when I noticed the defect no flats. Swapped out for conti gp4000 25's.

I also gave up on Conti GP 4000s bc of too many sidewall punctures. Have a pair of Ultremos on order so will try them out this week.
I'm sure going to try them.
I have a friend that rides them and swears by them.
But in this, I'm not sure I trust him.
He owns http://www.wallbike.com/ so his opinion may be slanted. :p
Yet I am going to try them for sure!

They're good, quick tires, but I think I flat more often on Ultremos than I do on Pro 3 Races.
I had better luck on the Ultremos then on the veloflexs or the more expensive vitt open corsas.

I have a pair of very lightly used ones if you'd like to give them a go.
Drop me a pm.

these were some of the best riding tires I'd ridden [while they lasted.] They were somewhat durable, supple, good road feel.........but after pretty intense month and half of riding and they went to crap fairly quickly with multiple flats within week. I got frustrated and tossed them.
I run 700x25 on my road bike, very smooth. i ran Pro 3 Race Previously, Ultremo rides better imo.

Built up a new rig early in the year with the R1s, rolled real nice, light weight but punctured on first ride, put a tube in, the tube ballooned through the puncture, walked home... for Kms.
Switched to Conti GP4000s, feel a bit slower but more puncture resistant.
My opinion: just use the R1s for races but not as training tires.

I raced on them for a year without complaint. Shop gave me Mavic clinchers to try this season and I think I like them better.

Ribble just put the Schwalbe Ultremo ZX on sale for $35 a pop, and they have 25 and 28 in stock. Shipping is around $8 to the US, so under $80 a pair. I'm riding Ultremo ZX in 28 and I really like them.
