so I've finally gotten my Salsa Casseroll and have started to build it up... the build is going to be Dura Ace barend shifters, Tiagra FD, XT RD, Shimano Compact crankset, 11-32 cassette, and Open Pro/Ultegra wheels... brakes are currently Tektro CR720's that I had lying around but will upgrade eventually to maybe shorty ultimates (heard great things about them) or maybe a mini-v...

I was going to go silver on the bars/stem/seatpost, but all I had right now was black... looks pretty good with the wheels, I think I might keep it as is...

I'll post more pics when it's done...

Looks fine with the black. I really like the bike and your component selection. Will be a very practical go anywhere ride. I put Tektro mini Vs on my CX bike(thanks jmeloy). They took a bit of fiddling to get set up, but no issues with them so far.

Oh this paint job gives me a great idea... wonder if it will see right in other tones hmm...

thanks guys! I had TRP CX9's on my cross bike I just sold and they were pretty awesome, so I might try the Tektro version of those...

I do like the Ultremo tires, but will probably go with something a bit bigger on this bike... maybe the Rivendell Rolly Polly's or the new Clement Stradas in 28mm... heck I could probably fit the Rivendell Jack Brown 33mm on this thing... have canti/mini-v's really opens up the tire options...

still deciding if I'm going to put the mini rack on the front that came with the frame... probably will...

I bet it doesnt... it is a super light blue and the titanium kind'a color looks nice. Have to repaint one of my bikes and have a metallic blue and a few other metallic greys moving around and even one that looks pretty similar to the titaniuminsh color, so just wondering if it will look ok.

Nice bike man :)

Looks great. Casserolls are terrific. Just a good-looking, versatile, well-made, high-value frame.
