Thanks to geo99 I'm the proud owner of a sweet set of tubies for cross this year. Now the fun part...which tire? I planned to use my Stans Alpha tubeless wheelset as a back up and only one set of tubies this year. I think I've narrowed down to Challenge Fango or Flexus Primus. Might use the Fango Elites that are on there now for some of the dry races early in the year. I know one set will be all about compromise and I'd rather give up a little in rolling resistance to get something that grips well on off camber grass sections, which we seem to have an abundance of here in the Midwest. Any thoughts between these two tires? Others to consider?

PBK has Vittorias for mega mega mega cheap.

They're not UCI legal but we're all probably fine running em.

$70 bucks or so for a pair is awesome. That's like 1/2 price from the US wholesalers.

I would contact www.cyclocrossworld.com and talk to Jim (he usually answers the phone).

Good guys, all things cyclosross, IMHO straight shooters.

Full disclosure - I race on their grassroots cross team and their brick and mortar shop, Pinnacle Bikes, Master team.

That said, I was a customer long before I was a team member.
