Time to change my rear tire. I don't track mileage but I would guess there is well over 2k and maybe closer to 3 on this tire. I weigh 225 and run 120psi. Roads around here are decent but not super smooth and some of them are pretty rough. I don't think I had a single flat with this tire. Just one guys experience but I like these!

I rode the Rubino Pro 28c's most of last year, including the dirt roads at D2R2, and I was really impressed with these tires too. Not super expensive, but pretty light, supple and a nice ride in 28c, IMO.

Good stuff.

currently have 25mm Rubinos on my Steelman and am thinking about trying the 28's on my new Casseroll build... I honestly don't feel much difference from the Diamante Pro's or Mich PR3's I had...

Ride Rubino's as well, last pair changed easily had 3k before the tread gave out.

Good to know. I've ridden almost exclusively on Continentals and have been thinking about trying something else.

BTW, there may be a cheaper outlet, but Ribble usually has great prices on Rubinos.

I was just looking for something in a 25 or 28 to try!

Performance Bike has them regularly for $29.99 each.

Agreed about the lack of flats too, I have a set of GP4000Ss waiting, but haven't put them on because I'm scared of losing my flat protection. It's been well over 1k miles since my last flat, and I've gone through some nasty potholes.

I have had good luck with Rubino Pros too. Great value. Good colors. Different sizes.

I had similar results on my Diamante Pro's. No flats and was into the cords when I changed them.

Mine might have had a few more miles (over 3,000), but I'm a bit lighter than Clydesdale :)

Of course, I don't ride as fast either...

If they're like their previous incarnation they're pretty good.

Have a reputation with me as the tyres which will not wear out, must have ridden over 5000k on a rear tyre and never a problem, don't recall ever puncturing on them. They're a good balance of reliability and lightweight training/commuting, but no way do they feel as good on the road as Veloflex or GP4000s being a bit more chunky.

They're also not particularly good in the wet, when descending in the rain they're likely to 'let go' without notice, but - of course - if you ride well within limitations there's no issue.
