Mountain Mama

I rode the 100 mile leg of the Mountain Mama yesterday and saw lots of Serottas. It was my first time at this event. I thought it was well done. Any posters here do this ride?

Yes, I rode it and the event had a nice turnout. I rode the 70 mile route although I wish I had done the 100. But rain worried me and I needed to meet a family member from Richmond later in the afternoon so went for the 70. I don't know that you went through Blue Grass Valley on the century but, I'm here to tell you the landscapes were absolutely stunning in that area. It was a nicely executed event, although I wish the school had turned on the hot water heater. A cold shower was Ok, but I would have rather had a luke warm shower.

I've done this twice in years past. Always found it to be an excellent ride with great support.

I seem to remember a general store about 10 miles from the finish of the century. They had orange wedges the two years I did it... heavenly at that point in the ride!
