So how does he get away with selling a frame branded Pinarello?
Heck try selling a "lollipop pedal rebuild kit" and Speedplay lawyers will
have out a cease and desist letter on your doorstep the following day.

The frame is manufactured at the OEM Factory; the shape is identical to the Prince, Paris FP3, This Mould used is not exclusive to Pinarello, Although The Materials That are used in Italian finished frames are Exclusive to The Italian Brand, They use, The Exotic Torayca Carbon Fibre mixed with Nanoalloy supplied By Toray Industries for their Builds. This 60 hi Modulus carbon with 1K weaves Or 60HM1k Or Dogma 60.1 It’s the type of Carbon Used in Aero Space and F1 This is what makes an original so expensive This is fundamentally the difference between The Frames on offer and an Italian Distributed Frame Monocoque construction and 3k Full Carbon There isn’t a weight issue; the Frame is equal in weight to the original. There are no Catches, no tricks This isn’t Rocket Science, Nothing Fancy or Smart, Nothing Hidden, (You will get exactly what you see in the picture, but in the colour You Choose) This is a Not sold as an original Pinarello frameset Your Frame will be exactly what you see in the picture, Painted, Decals Under clear Coat!...

I'm very familiar with those discussions but the work of this frame is a step above the ones talked about in those discussions.

It's a counterfeit, pure and simple. The seller should be prosecuted.

I'm wondering why Pinarello doesn't put a cease and desist order out?
I understand trying to sue someone in China could be a problem but
this seller is located stateside.

I'm guessing he's purchasing them through here > http://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?SearchText=Pinarello+Dogma+frameset+%28O EM%29+&catId=0

Then selling them out of his garage?

The bike may not be a dog, but it's not a Dogma either.
