Did anyone else notice the strange aerobars that several Gerolsteiner riders used? They looked like narrow bullhorn? bars with the elbow pads out at the bends and regular brifters. There weren't any separate bars with the shifters.

they are really great and seem perfect for the team time trial. basically, they're 32cm wide bullhorns so the rider never has to change hand positions to brake or shift. leave it to andy walser to bring back the old italian 100km team time trial set up. it sort of makes sense though, you can draft a little closer, you never have to move your arms and there is very little gain in frontal area particularly if your built like uwe pechel or michael rich.

Isn't that great that we have "Phil Leggett" and "Paul Sherwin" to provide TDF commentaries for us here at the forum?
......err...I leave to you to figure out who's playing Phil and who's playing Paul. :p

they brought the team to help levi in the mountains.....check out the eindhoven results. if gerolsteiner wants to win a team tt, it wins a team tt. the big issue was half the guys couldn't even hold uwe and rich's wheels.
