Had a nice ride on this supported club ride from Shaver Lake to Wishon Reservoir and back. Beautiful day at 5000'-7000' .... even the ugly Dinkey Creek grade at mile 46 couldn't put a damper on it.

Nice pics and looks like a nice ride.
GuyGadois has a cabin up there somewhere. He seems to enjoy the riding there.
Have you done 'Climb to Kaiser'?

the ugly Dinkey Creek grade

Oh man I remember that one. In 2002 Fresno Cycling Club ran the Dinky Double as an option along with Climb to Kaiser. I think there were like 11 of us who did it. The added miles came from a beautiful out and back to McKinley Grove. Is that where you took the big trees photo?

Hi Steve - I always say that Kaiser is for big boys. I'm not there yet ... but one can never say never.

PeterB - Yes, that's McKinley Grove. There were a couple of times on that grade today when I wasn't sure whether I was wiping away sweat or tears. I can't imagine riding Kaiser PLUS that extra spur. I am not worthy!
