I am told these work just fine Campy C10 chains. Anyone ever used one this way?

On another note, when your c10 chain wears out, you might give the KMC chains a try. I have had terrible experiences with Wipperman chains, but the KMC chains are easily the equal of the Campy 10s chains.

KMC chain last longer than campy ones in my experience. The 10 speed master link works with basically any chain brand in the market.

My experience is the same. The KMC links work fine with C10. Other links pop and crack and make funny sounds.

Does't hurt to lube them with some real grease before you install them.

Not a fan of Wipperman chains, don't sell them, but the links work well, sell a lot of them, not noisy...8s, 9s and 10s.

Do not enable this hack home mechanic. The guy can't even install a Campy crankset.

+1
I've used the 10 spd Wipperman Connex link for over a year now (Campy drive train) with no issues -- easy to install, easy to remove. Last week I purchsed the 9 spd version for my son's bike.

Hey that crank uses a 7 who the hell has a 7?

Thanks for the responses, have a 10 speed alloy chorus group going on a Merckx Max frameset. Weather has been to nice to finish it up.

KMC chains wear just a bit better than Shimano and neither wears even close to as long as Campy. The wear pattern is entirely different. The others elongate about four times faster than Campy. Campy still wears out, but the wear is mostly roller and side plate wear. I've never had a Campy 10 chain comse close to .5% elongation, even after 6,000 miles of riding the gritty Colorado mountain roads.

Not you, Old Potatoe, the OP. Bigman keeps messing with Campy gruppos which cause me to leave him for dead on the road.

I want to try one as Performance/Trashbar sell them. For Campy 10 speed do I need to use the Campy masterlink as below or can I use the standard one that comes w the chain?

Previous posts are not clear.

Use the one that comes with the chain, it'll be fine.
