Is there a reason he didn't end up a favorite at the Tour this year? (Not that being five minutes off is anything to sneeze at.) I haven't been following his buildup.

I think he got caught in the accidents, and he is vegetarian now I believe :P

Just doesn't have the talent to be a favorite. I thought Zabriske was the vegetarian on the team.

I believe VDV has gone gluten-free, not vegetarian. Zabriskie is the one on that path, and is eating as a vegan.
