i took this one today of clydesdale on the strong
while we were riding fixed on one of our favorite
rolling hills loops at noon.
seems like we should have more
posts of riders riding...while it is still legal!

ps. llew is sorry he covered up the strong's drivetrain
...but that may keep you looking for more...

just a hint at how this was taken:
left arm fully extended...with my cell phone held upside down
panning from over the shoulder, forward and clydesdale
came up from behind and dropped me

reminded me of a picture i took last week
during my haleakala climb that i couldn't resist taking.
on a six percent grade with these trees climbing into the sky
i reached down with my left hand to my skewer
and took this self portrait...

for me, to have evidence of being the photographer in motion, being integrated in the frame yet not the center of attention
is the greatest challenge -- but really fun photography!

nice rain shot...hopefully you didn't have to wait for your phone
to dry out too long. fortunately, riding with my 3ply waterproof wallet from joe...i can sneak my phone out for occasional pictures
and not damage the phone nearly as often as i used to.
...i must admit to having dropped my blackberry a few times, though.
no wonder my office is cutting off my phone privileges in november!

...and shadow pics are one of my favorite categories of self-portraits...

i am impressed with the pics thusfar.
my photography had fallen off the map
until i started blogging last year.
trying to capture the beauty of what i see out there everyday
has been a particular enjoyment
and has me riding with my eyes more open and aware.

was a welcome relief and i think
made the sunset particularly nice.
