I have a Bianchi Specialissima that I am trying to date. The BB is stamped 58 57. The seat tube lug is stamped 11.33 on the right side and 772 on the left side. Don't know if that is 772 11.33 or 11.33 772. The Columbus tube set decal just says Columbus, no SL or SLX indicated.

The frame is 57cm c-t-t st and 57cm tt.

Any help is appreciated.

Good luck in trying to date a Bianchi by the serial number. There was a discussion about this a few years ago on the CR list, and no one there was ever able to crack the Bianchi code.

You might have more luck in dating the frame by things like braze-ons.

Can you post a photo?

does the columbus sticker look like this http://www.mytenspeeds.com/My_TenSpeeds_1/Bicycles_Table/Italian_Bicycles/Gianni_Motta/Gianni_Motta_Personal/GM_Personal_Decal_Tubing_1.jpg if it does it's columbus SP

Just as an FYI, that sticker can signify SL as well...

Given the size of this frameset, I'd expect that it would be SL versus SP.

That's just a guess. The components are not a reliable indication.

In 1984 I bought a Bianchi frameset ( 59ct ). It was a "Superleggera" just like yours. The Campy Anniversary Group is not unique to Bianchi. I would think from a collector's point of view, pantographed Campy Super Record parts would be the ultimate in terms of value. Those are great framesets.

That is 11.83, 1983.

I would second that, 11/1983.
