I rode in the Axel Merckx GranFondo this past weekend. It was a great event - perfect weather, a fine route and amazing support but what really made my day was having Eddy Merckx autograph my MX Leader. http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj140/northbend/P1020703.jpg

Cool, make sure to clear coat it. BTW your title had me worried for a moment.

Very cool Matt. You do need to protect it. My buddies had Mondonico signed their frames on his last U.S. visit before retiring, and I'm not sure if either signature remains unblemished.

he sold the company awhile ago, and has little/no say in what they make these days... just look for the latest sweet fixie with merckx on the d/t to be released with paint commemorating Merckx's palmares, it's pretty hilarious and/or sad and face-palm worthy

Awesome, It was super nice in Pentiction for the ride. The city was booming with cyclists, also it's the wine festival to boot. Good times!

WOW ! ! ! ! ! !! !! !

I am so jealous ! ! ! !

Cool picture. +100 on the clearcoat idea.

BTW nice bike.

Eddy is lookin' a lot more svelte in that picture than some of the others I've seen floatin' around the net.

Thanks for postin'.

Love it,it's my go to bike now. Adding the WoundUp gave it better tracking descending not that it was a slouch before.
Now if I can only get Mr. Merlin to sign the frame. ;)

That's really neat! Similarly Gary Fisher was at our LBS in the spring and a kid (like 12-13 yrs old) brought his GF bike for Gary to sign.

If you ever retire the bike, you could hang it next to a Molteni wool jersey for artwork. :p :hello:
