I currently have two wheelsets both running Ultegra 6600 12-27T cassettes on the rear. I just purchased a third wheelset and I'd like to try the SRAM PG-1070 cassette. Does anyone know about the cassette spacing between the two brands? Will I have to tinker with my RD everytime I switch between wheelsets? I hope not!

Swap at will.

Shimano and SRAM cassettes share identical spacing.

The cassette spacing and cog thickness may be the same among those cassettes, but unless you are using the same hub and cassette body on all those wheels, you can't be sure you won't have to adjust a tad.

Unless your barrel adjuster is bottomed out one way or the other, whatever tweaks are required (if any) should be well within the capacity of that easy adjustment.

My experience agrees with Ralph & Louis.

Louis and Ralph, good points. Both my current wheelsets have DT Swiss 240s hubs, so they're interchangeable on my bikes, but the new hubs are CK R45s. We'll see, I guess!

Cogsets are the same spacing but different rear hub manufacturer may put the cogset at a different location with regards to the RD.
