View Full Version : Does this exist? A BLACK handlebar as similar to a Nitto B115 as possible.

Critical feature: Round, round, round drops. No silly / gay bars.

Width = 38 c-c or 40 o-o. I could go to 40 c-c, but I really prefer narrow bars. Wider make me feel like I'm driving a truck.

(Also, in a perfect world the center clamp area would be 31.7 or 31.8, not the 25.4 that Nitto uses.)

TIA

Thanks for the ideas guys. Keep them coming.

I believe the two suggested above come in 40 cm c-c as smallest size. I'd like to get a bit smaller than that if I can.

My '86 Fuji Del Rey came with a black B115 bar, as did other Del Reys from 1985-1989. That at least proves they were manufactured. But that bike had a number of components that were exclusively made for that model, so far as I know, like blackout Ukai 27 in. rims and gray faux suede saddle. Find a late 80s Del Rey and you'll find a black B115 bar.

Thanks Rob, but I don't hold out much hope for that...

Louis...How about having a stock B115 powdercoated or anodized? ...heck, do a few of them, maybe some noodles too, and sell the extras on (as either coating will have minimum costs involved).

It probably won't be long until I want a black one again, but my immediate need has gone away because I decided to go with silver for the Kirk.

But I have other projects in the works that would definitely look better with black. Maybe then...

Louis,
This isn't a wife man, just build the damn thing and allow us to kinda critique it for you. At this pace you'll be in a walker for sure before you ever ride the damn thing. Just messing around man enjoy the Kirk. I just hope I'm not in a walker before you ride the damn thing. LOL  :hello: :)

My riding buddies tell me the same thing about some of my other projects. Compared to them, the Terraplane is on the fast track. ;)

Sorry if I was a bit obscure - it was intended to be a reference to the bad old days of the forum.

Deda Newton Round Bar - 40cm but deda measures o-o, black, 31.8. Not to be confused with the 2 or 3 other models of newtons.

I use the rotundo too but the jury's still out for me.
