i've always found that, while campy shifts very well right out of the box, it really "settles in" after 500 miles or so.

surely as the cables stretch, and all of the other bits and pieces mesh together, distributing the grease and whatnot, it's a thing of beauty. the hubs just spin forever, every shift is precise, like a finely tuned clock.

riding last night was a true joy, a cool summer night, a perfectly shifting bicycle, smoothly buzzing rear hub. bliss.

sometimes it's the simple things in life that really bring a smile to my face.
