Anyway, I am getting ready for a ride this Sunday and am planning to ride less but keep the intensity high. For my event, a gran fondo, anaerobic work is not so key since it is much more important to ride steady.

So, the question is, would it be better to ride a long tempo block (70-90 minutes) or to do 1-2 threshold intervals of 30-40 minutes? Tempo is more likely the pace I will try to keep during the ride on the climbs, but intensity can be you friend as well ;) Any thoughts?
