for the alloy UT cranks - anyone removed the printed logos (decals?)? If so, how?

Thanks, M

my shoe/heel rub has effectively removed the decals on my driveside arm.

you would have to polish them off to effectively remove them i think, they arent peel and stick, but almost like a screen print on.

And if you polish them, you'll take off the anodization as well.

On the bright side (pun intended), UT cranks look pretty good all polished up. Somebody on Weight Weenies has already done it:

thanks - just what I was looking for.

PM'd the guy @ WW - he used progressively finer sand paper (up to 2000 wet) and metal polish to finish. wax for protection.

You can often remove decals without damaging the ano with steel wool and a little acetone after to rub off last vestiges of decal.

A crank with no anodizing will be high maintenance.

is it anodizing on the campy cranks or just clearcoat?

I think all Campy's alloy bits are anodized for durability.
