One airplane option apparently under consideration to replace the popular 737 would be cool if Boeing can make it work (financially, not technically). Carbon fiber, patented elliptical fuselage, and best of all with twin aisles in a mid-size airplane.

I hate 3-across seating. You either have to crawl over people, or get up often to let others out. And that’s if you are not so lucky as to get stuck in the middle seat. Expected faster boarding and deplaning would be nice too.

At a time when air travel sucks big time, and any improvement would be welcomed, what are the odds Boeing will pursue this design and not cave towards slightly more fuel-efficient layout with 3-3 seating?

I don’t know what the fuel upcharge would be, but would gladly pay the premium for 2-3-2 seating.
