I have a Colorado II SN1897 and I'd like to get new (lighter) wheels for it. My 36 spoke Mavic/Chorus wheels are heavy and are showing their age.

Are there any factory wheelsets e.g., Mavic Ksyrium, that would work with my 8 sp Chorus or would I have to get a new drive train?

Thanks!

No wheels currently made will accept a Campagnolo 8s cogset BUT->

Get a Campagnolo 9/10/11s hubset, like Record, get a Veloce 9s cogset, use the 8s spacers(black) now in the Campagnolo 8s cogset, use 8 selected cogs, build wheel

OR

Have me or somebody else that 'qui si parla Campagnolo' convert your RH lever to 9s, get above hub, build wheels, use 9s Campagnolo cogs and bobs yer uncle.
