I'd like a wool jersey like the ones from the '70's, plain red jersey with a broad white band across the chest with "SEROTTA Sports" embroided in black. C'mon Ben, you must have one left. Share with us.

Offer it in multiple color combos, I prefer blue with gray stripe.

In female sizes too!

yeah...even I might like one! As long as it's in really good taste. So far serotta jerseys have been striking out for me.

Yeah what Phsycho says, I remember those jerseys. They were cool.

This really is a great idea - I know I'd buy one. Unfortunately I missed out on the Moots jerseys (I have a VaMoots), but I wouldn't miss out on these.

Not to throw a spanner in the works, but...

I'm not getting the wool jersey thing, at least not for hot weather.

Don't get me wrong - I love my SmartWool socks, and wear them year-round for cycling; give them to my friends for presents, etc. And I wear wool as a baselayer when it's cold, too.

But I bought a couple of Ibex lightweight jerseys this spring, and I'm finding that they just soak up the sweat. Not comfortable, not attractive. And I smell like a wet dog once I'm sweaty.

In contrast, my "plastic" jerseys wick the sweat away, and the sweat evaporates from the outer layer. I certainly am not coming home dry after I ride, but I'm nowhere near as waterlogged as with the Ibex jerseys. And I don't smell.

This is pretty much the opposite of what I'd been lead to expect. Anyone else experiencing this?

long-sleeved wool for autumn and spring riding, from 45 to 70 degrees.

Davids,
I agree about wool in the heat,it gets wet and smells (not as bad as poly) but it sure holds on to the moisture. I have been using a shirt made by ZOIC that is Merino wool on the inside with a poly exterior that works really well in the heat. The shirt is a loose cut (mt bike style) but is comfortable commutting in and out of NYC. I noticed that Ibex also markets a wool/poly blend

might be worth a try?
If Serotta made a LS wool I would buy it or a SS wool/poly blend.

I'd buy one. Long sleeve. Long zip. Fat guy cut. Red/white.

A nice long sleeve jersey would be very styling for those spring/fall rides.

On sunday I wore my wool jersey out for a 45 mile ride in the heat- temp were in the low to mid 90s- yes I was sweating- but I was never uncomfortable. I felt no better or worse than the day before when I wore a plastic jersey. The difference was the next day- the plastic jersey smelled like a wet dog while the wool jersey- well- smelled like wool. I even made mrs dirt smell the wool jersey to tell me if it stunk- she said no- she also mumbled something about me being nuts-

Lastly- a little bird told me that Serotta saw the poll- maybe because I emailed it to Ben- and is entertaining a wool jersey
