Man, that's gotta be a classic Marantz receiver...

yeah it's a 2225, most of the caps replaced.
under the sheet is an empire 208 turntable.
cd player hidden behind the doors in the credenza :)

25 watts (most likely a bit more actually) seems like really high power when you switch from a 6watt SEP power amp that was in the system for a few years...

I'm drooling over the Marantz. They just don't make them like that anymore. Such a sweet, warm and mellow sounding amp. Perfect for reproducing the vinyl.

I'm definitely gonna make picks with some of my classic audio gear and bike parts next time I sell something here :)

Good plan. Remember, you are dealing with folks on this forum that can tell the difference between 102 lbs of pressure and 105 lbs of pressure in their Vittoria CXs. I suspect many could also hear the sampling "gaps" in a digital music source vs. Analog. :)

For the record, I was asking about the speakers. I dig the track stuff.

mister

the speakers i built.
used a design from http://www.pispeakers.com/Products.html
if you look on the pi forums you'll see that Wayne will email the design for free...

those are 3pi speakers, i built the cabinets a little taller than designed...coz looks better to my eye.

Man, that's gotta be a classic Marantz receiver...

My roommate freshman year in college ('79) had one that looked just like that. Heavy spin dial on the right for tuning...

yeah and i have the matching side table and i'm pretty sure my grandma bought them new...

that mid-century modern lane stuff is pretty popular in the vintage stores around here...
