DIY computer mount?

A friend gave me a Strada wireless bike computer, minus mounting hardware. I've been able to find a way to mount the computer on the stem, but I'm having trouble mounting the sensor on the fork. I have the ties, but I need the rubber mount that keeps the sensor from slipping. Has anybody done this with some homemade contraption?

Lost the one for my Cateye... used a piece of old inner tube and zip ties. Works great.
