I don't see the big thrill about these, I'd personally rather have the HED C2 Belgian tubies, but for those who have been looking, it looks like Ital-Tecno has them available again on ebay, including 28 hole.

Haha, I saw your post right after I wrote mine. I thought, 'wow, his lucky day!'.
I think Ital-tecno is charging 198 + shipping for 2 rims on the bay. I didn't check their website, maybe they offer them slightly cheaper there, or might be worth giving them a call.
The HED rims aren't much cheaper, best price online seems to be about 180/pair plus postage..
Edit - just looked at their website, looks like they may also have the 'Montreal' model in 32 hole available for $49 each, better deal IMHO.

Too funny..I may just rebuild them with Montreals now. Funny but I purchased the F20's I have from Ital around ten years ago for like $30+ bucks! Now they are $150 a set.....inflation blows

Funny, purchased some 28h on the group buy across the hall. Looks like ital-techno jumped in on the 28s too. Apparently they had to fire up the machines again since they were only tooled for 32 and 36, or something like that.

And I remember Nashbar blowing out the Mavic Mach2's for $9.99 each about 3 years ago.
Funny how aluminum rims are making a bit of a comeback..

Well u have to consider that there rims and rims, some mavic stuff is hard to kill, other stuff is plain garbage. Well is the same with almost all the manufacturers tho but maybe ambrosio, at least for me they always showed some consistency in the quality of their rims. Mavic has not done that, the same with their wheels.
As for price, that they are asking mickey mouse numbers doesn't mean somebody will pay it, right?

I think the price is too high, but apparently quite a few people are willing to pay those prices for the Nemesis rims.
A few teams use them for Paris Roubaix, and all of a sudden everyone wants them!

Have built more than a few Ambrosio and altho nicer than mavic anything, not hugely impressed. Just a rim and an expensive one at that.
Velocity Major Tom(in spite of a really dumb name) is a very nice rim, on par with HED and less expensive, if ya want a wide rim, IMHO.

Nothing rides quite like a low profile box section rim IMO. I've never ridden Nemisis but I still ride and race on old Campy Strada rims and they are simply wonderful on the road. If you ever see slo-mo video of a set of these wheels in a cobble stone classic you can see just as the wheel hits a big cobble the rim deforms and the spoke loses tension and then as it slips by everything snaps back into place and tightens up. You don't get that with stiffer rims.

Kinda agree, I may drag my feet on this and replace the rims from my thread with something else/cheap? Kills me to blow almost $200 on metal hoops even though they served me very well in the past...
