You want to know how to pronounce Serotta?
That's easy compared to:
MeiVici
Ottrott
Coeur d' Acier
Classique
Fierte
Nove

What the hell Ben, give us more names like Colorado, TiMax and 10*77. No, wait... forget that last one. I don't like putting an asterisk in the middle of the numbers when I type it. Change it to 10•77 it looks cooler.

This is how I've always thought to, and haven't been corrected yet - that may be due to the fact that no one knows how to pronounce them though!

My-Veechy
Ought-Trot
Coor-Dassyay
Fee Air Tay
No Vay

and it's always been Mavick and Searium for me, in and out of shops on the Eastern Seaboard

This thread's a good laugh! Correct away, those who know!

Here in Spokane, which is next door to Coeur d'Alene Idaho, we pronounce it more like 'coor' or 'core'.

Here in Spokane, which is next door to Coeur d'Alene Idaho, we pronounce it more like 'coor' or 'core'.Yeah, I s'pose that the 'merican pronunciation. Kinda like the difference between "toor(d) frahh(ns)" and "turd day franse."

In French, "coor" is the closer to the pronunciation of "cour" (court, courtyard, etc.), "cours" (course, path, etc.) and "court" (short)—all are pronounced the same. The diphthong "œ" in words like "chœur," "cœur (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/cœur#Pronunciation)," and "sœur (http://french.about.com/od/pronunciation/a/oe.htm)" has a softer, "ur" sound.

Or he cold have given the bicycle a nice, easy (if not predictable) to pronounce 'merican name like the Serotta Adirondack.
