I can take photos later, but the essence is 10sp silver record hubs, BEAUTIFUL, shiney condition...laced to very true Mavic Open Pros. GORGEOUS wheel set. Not sure on spoke brand, but they are DB. Wheels come with wheel bags and Michelin race pro clinchers...forget the exact tire name. They have some life left and hold air. I can get detailed info when home tonight, but wanted to float these out there.
I really don't have a good sense of value on these, I paid quite a bit for them but don't know the market.
Is $500 and shipping reasonable?
Bearings are smooth and true.

No is not reasonable. Just being honest, sorry.

I asked :) No problem with input.
I know when I tried buying them, the hubs were always over $400 alone. I also know these have almost no wear, a 10sp record cassette and bags.

Yes but new... 225 for a used set of hubs is ok if are in good condition but for example another guy is selling a pair of new fulcrum zero tubular for 650.
500 even when new could have been too much in my opinion. Not the price police but doubt you will sell them for 500 bucks, neither for 400 at least here in the forums.
Always you can go ebay, or ebay the hubs there. Sure will sell fine.

I have this exact wheelset, DT DB spokes, with skinwall Veloflex paves. With a light true, and a bearing service now and then, they'll last forever. And look good doing it. Price seems about what I paid, just the skewers are fetching $100-ish. Market shall dictate.I can take photos later, but the essence is 10sp silver record hubs, BEAUTIFUL, shiney condition...laced to very true Mavic Open Pros. GORGEOUS wheel set. I'll give ebay a shot if no one is interested. I truly don't know the market for these well...but I know when I tried buying USED, they were outrageous and there weren't many to be had. I just checked ebay and there were none on there.
If memory serves, the USED hubs were going for $400+

Thanks...I thought I was about right, but I truly don't know for sure. As you say...if someone wants to make an offer, great...otherwise, I'll toss em' on ebay and offer a discount for Serotta guys.
I should have been specific...these do have skewers.

What is the mileage on these?

Do you recall the spoke count and what cogs on the cassette?

No problem...not upset. I solicited opinions.
If I was certain, I would have been more firm. I'm not :)

I honestly don't remember the ratio and spoke count, though I THINK they were 32. I can check when I get home.
The seller claimed under 400 miles, but I can;t swear to it. I can say the wear looks VERY light.

Cassette, $100
Bags, $40
Skewers, $100
Average of $240, already, and that's not including the wheels.

If they were 36 i would jump if the price is ok for the hubs. Need something to lace my campy rims hehe

The 36H Record silver hubs seem very rare.

Actually i have seen a few moving around, for some reason looks like 4 more spokes adds too much weight to the wheel and people doesnt like that :P

These wheels will outlast Fulcrum Zeros, by far, IMO. Yes but new... 225 for a used set of hubs is ok if are in good condition but for example another guy is selling a pair of new fulcrum zero tubular for 650.

Straight answer is you are asking premium dollars for an admittedly desirable, but not difficult to reproduce, wheelset. However, as presented, they are likely overpriced.
To get anywhere near that number, I would want to know who built the wheels and when, total mileage (better be low) and have some quality photos to back it up.
As a data point, less than three weeks back I was offered a similar used set, by a local LBS, for far less money. He said they had less than 500 miles, which was easy to believe by condition in hand. Had a nice even spoke tension and spun smooth as butter with almost imperceivable runout. Heck, they looked virtually new. The only reason I didn't bite was disinterest in the Mavic CXP33 rims; really wanted wider rims for my application.

Stagger....great...I'll take those. Can you hook me up with the shop?

Mileage and pics help the sale.
I bought an identical (combo and color) wheelset w/ bags and skewers for $375 on the forum around this time last year. I sold them a few months later because build plans changed here for the same price I got them for. They were in very good condition.
That said, I think that if your wheels are in excellent condition - meaning almost like new and include skewers, your price is at the high end of reasonable. Meaning you aren't out of place.
Edit: sorry - mine were 28h.

28h.
The holy grail! Seriously, I'm very keen to find a set of 28h silver Record hubs. Sorry for the thread drift.

HAHA.. I was thinking to myself, did I sell those to Akelman? I know for a while you were chomping up all the good Campy stuff to come along ;) I can't remember who bought em...
Here's some wheel porn (http://www.flickr.com/photos/49898397@N06/sets/72157624573417592/) if that's your thing.
OK - back to the sale at hand

Okay, no more threadjacking. Again, sorry.

I think I can contribute to this. I bought a brand new set from a masterwheelbuilder (Oldpotatoe from Vecchio's) a few weeks ago. Specs:
Record 2006 NOS hubs with skewers, 28 hole front and rear
Velocity Aerohead front, Aerohead O/C rear
Brass nipples
DT Rev front and NDS rear
DT Comps DS rear
PM'ed Aaron with other info...:)

Your price is reasonable. I know because I unloaded my matched sets for between $400-$500 shipped on here and these were without wheelbags, cassette & sometimes skewers.

With bags, tires, cassette and skewers, not too far, if at all, out of line.

Looks like these are likely accounted for.
