It seems like there's a fair amount of Pegoretti owners around here.

One things I've noticed about his designs, is that even for the largest sizes (+58cm TT) he keeps the chainstays fairly short at 41cm. I understand this is done to increase stiffness and to keep the wheelbase short, but it seems this places a larger amount of weight on the rear axle with the 72 STA. Lots of builders seem to go to 43cm for larger frames.

I'd love to hear from people that have had both bikes in the 41 and 43cm CS range, and what differences you noticed. Any issues with the weight distribution?

Also, anybody ever get a custom with longer than 41cm CS? If so, did Dario give any explanation as to why?

the only thing I ever noticed is that sometimes, my heels bump those big beefy chain stays on the Love #3. I have no way to make a ride quality comparison these days but i will say the thing is a rocket.
