What a terrible description. Only mentions Serotta in the caption and no sizing information.

The frame color is fine, but those gold components and velocity rim color is putrid. Yells HIPSTER. I have a nice vintage Campy pista group I would put on it, if I could get the frame alone.

what do you expect - it looks like it's owned by some hipster fixie kid who has never used it on a track.

Bingo. With that 46X18 gearing and 155 crank arm length he'd be spinning at 220 or so to keep up. And if it is being used on the road -- no brakes?

zero feedback seller??? thats weird now a days, i bet 99.9% of the cycling community have used ebay at least once, specially if the guy really has that bike.

It's starting to get a little fishy -- I sent the seller a question about size, and here is the response:

SORRY EVERYONE FOR NOT PUTTING THE SIZE UP: THIS IS A 49CM Bike FRAME. THIS WOULD BE PERFECT for Someone 5,4"-5,9"
I am 5,7" with an inseam of 30 and this bike fit me perfect. I didn't ride it at all in fear of crashing or having it stolen. It's more of a piece of ART to me.

track 49???? weird, his inseam is too long for a 49 and for that saddle height.

Sincerely that frame looks more like a 50.

Easily liquidate the build in the mecca of hipster trash, Brooklyn, NY. More than happy to assist.

Or, her name is mommy2lg, ya sexists! ;)
(I can't operate on him; he's my son!!)

which would explain the small size. Seller is expecting a grand.

I'm gonna keep a close eye on it and do what I can to rescue this bike.

You were able to contact the seller? I guess if you're trying to fetch $1k, you could part out the rest to help bring costs down..

Great call, Fast and Furious. So we are dealing with a Hipster Fixie Chick (there is such a species, I suppose). I'm sure that binxnyrwarrsoul could weigh in here. . .

But the email says Andrew!

Ok, the only reasonable explanation is that Andrew brought home a bad report card, and now his Mom is selling his stuff. That is why the username is "mommy", and there is no feedback rating, because Mom is not an ebay user, and also explains why the geometry wasn't posted originally. Would you mom really think to post the geometry if she was selling your bike? I bet there is also an Xbox 360 posted for sale as well. . .

Andrew, or his mommy, explained in the ad that, "I've spent over $2,000 dollars on this bike and am selling this for half the cost."

I really doubt his mom is making this ad. First of all, he's 30. (email addy andrew1981) Secondly, how many moms know to point out the Toshis, the tubing badge, and the Izumi?

Of course, I will completely strip the parts off this bike. Here's my worst-case estimates for selling prices...

Miche Supertype seatpost - $30
Miche Advanced crankset - $80 (I'd keep it, but those cranks [155?! really?] are too short even for my little legs)
Wheelset with tires - $225
Stem/handlebar combo - $40
Toshi Doubles with Pedals - $50
Regal saddle - $50

So getting close to $500 worth of parts to sell. I think I'm about to be a Serotta owner.
I could field my very own track squad so long as everyone is short.
