I was out pedaling today and saw one of these in my rearview mirror. It looked subtly more smooth and unique than the run of mill Sonata. Is Hyundai kicking ass?

If you're into hybrids the Lexus CT200 looks pretty hot. (sexy looking Prius)

Other than a Scion, I've almost given up on finding a 3-dr hatchback.

I may end up buying a 5-dr (aka station wagon - shudder)

I've driven rental (non-hybrid) Sonatas, and they are plenty nice enough for me. Not sure that I see how the hybrid looks that much better. And even with the $1300 tax benefit, I still can't see the economic payoff, short of an assumed $6/gallon gas price.
If I needed to buy a car right now, I'd be shopping the Elantra Touring. But that's just me; I heart small wagons.

Probably a really good and practical car. Hyundai is going like a house on fire and that car seems to be waiting for a facelift. The next one will probably be more car and look more like an Audi. Just guessing.

Hyundai's are a POS. I will stick to my BMW and Range Rover :)

Not sure I agree with Hyundai's being a POS. I've had one since 2006 and it has been flawless. My father has had his since 2008 with the same results. Imo, think Honda Accord with a lesser price.

Agreed. They still are overcoming the early 90's reputation with some, but every auto journalist, and everyone that's driven them in the last 5+ years knows that is not the old Hyundai Excel.

The new Equus is nearly a xerox of the LS460.

I wasn't being serious..I just put them into the same bracket of Kia's, Suzuki's, etc..my parents had one and it had so many problems within the first 2 years so they got rid of it. I just had to work on it so often that I became very frustrated so maybe it was bad luck :)
