Hi all. I'm an independent racer, no team, and was looking for some recommendations on a nice looking generic kit? Maybe something different than black shorts, and not looking for any weird pictures or graphics for the jersey, etc.
Ideas?
Thanks!!!! :)

. . . to be giving advice on cycling wardrobe, but I took a look at a few catalogs and . . . it seems there ain’t a whole lot out there besides black shorts. Castelli has their Ypro3 bib shorts available in black, white, or red, with matching jerseys available, but they are pretty expensive--$175 bucks for the bibs from Excel Sports and $70 for the jersey. If you’re really on a budget, Nashbar has the “Chrono splice short” available with yellow, red, silver, or icky lime green accents available for only $35, and some red and yellow jerseys to match that are only $45. Have you tried eBay?

Voler has different color shorts, and they're decent and cheap besides...

The DrunkCyclist.com team kit just might be the ticket.

Big Jonny likes to pimp Evil Cycling's stuff too but at a recent race in Ohio the USCF official's would not allow a guy to race the cat 5's in it. Even though they did allow several other riders to wear pro team kits in the same race. You'd have to wade through the arcives over there to find the story, he doesn't have a search feature on his otherwise excellent website.
