Garmin 705 Maps

Is there a place I can download maps that are compatible with the Garmin 705? I just feel that I can find the same maps for free and avoid paying $80.

click upload a gpx
attach the 705 vis usb
click browse
go into history file in 705 and upload a a tcx file

DOWNLOAD to 705

x-out "i've done this route"
click export route
save file to your computer
transfer to garmin

I think you've missed the point. He's looking for a free version of the map database that shows street names on the screen.

Here's a blog post (http://gpstracklog.com/2007/12/free-maps-for-y.html) that gives some sources for free maps (I haven't tried them, since I already have the Garmin maps.
