Is this a good price? Thinking of pulling the trigger.

Seems pricey, but Dura Ace pedals are very nice. They "feel" lighter (rotate lighter, perhaps) than Ultegra, so I think it's worth it.

That's the going rate for them online. Performance does have a good return policy though (NQA for 30 days? or maybe 90? I forget).

I paid $215 form my lbs, after installing Sram Red and the build out of HC54-295

they are great, they feel a little bit wider than the 7800 series, very light

I have the Look Keo Blade in Titanium and decided to just sell it and buy this Shimano 7900 pedals. At least this way it will match my other pedals on my other bike so I don't have to change shoes.

How much lighter are these than 7810?

I do love the click when you clip I'm to the alloy ones.

The question, as always, is: are they is the difference of $150 in price from Ultegra 6700 worth it? If you say "yes," then you are essentially saying that your level of performance is so incredibly high that a few grams are all-decisive.

NO! My level of performance is not even close to being high or even medium that few grams will make a difference. I work too hard that sometimes you need to treat yourself at some level. $150 is not a bank breaker that I'm going to go broke.

Buy the pedals..if you buy the 6700 ones you'll always want something better that being the 7900 pedals. Just get them ;) they are sexy.

Well, the psychology works in the opposite direction as well: if you get the DA, you will never know whether the Ultegra would not have given you the same performance and satisfaction.

No first-hand knowledge of the 7900 DA pedals,, but I own 2 sets of (now very old) 7400 DA pedals. They have triple bearings- and not exceptionally light at 360 grams per pair -- but they are still going strong. One pair is on my trainer bike. Other pair is on my TG.

If the new ones are half as good as my old ones are, I'd say worth the money.

Look matters to me. I don't know why. It just does. I like the classic shiney of the 7800's. But the 7900's certainly look modern

Good point. However, just to illuminate the OP, I had 6600 Ultegra pedals before "upgrading" to 7800-series Dura Ace pedals. There was a difference, mainly in how it felt easier to rotate the 7800 Dura Ace pedals. It also felt there was more surface to the pedals.

It's a good price. I found these pedals for $220 a month ago after much looking. Giantnerd had run a brief sale period and I was able to still get the sale price of $220 with free shipping.

Love the pedals, look and smoothness. Pricy but worth it!

Well maybe, but you're totally missing the point. If I buy DA, I do not look back.

I can assure you that there are a lot of riders out there with full Dura Ace group and probably could have use 105 group and get the same benefits with their performance level. Would they be satisfied? Well, you tell me.

Through eBay, but Ben's Cycle is always a good source.

Ben's Cycle - Dura-Ace 7900 pedals (http://cgi.ebay.com/Shimano-Dura-Ace-PD-7900-Road-Bicycle-Clipless-Pedals-/190532074377?pt=Cycling_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c5c98bb89#ht_5588wt_1208)

Only $244 shipped.

And Ben's Cycle has -- in my experience -- always shipped far, far faster than Performance.

Dave, who knows this particular because he bought his first pair of these pedals today at a slightly higher price because he hadn't seen that listing beforehand
